Today I got this on twitter. I truly believe it. Had always been a gryffindor. Always.

Hate to break it to you #Potterheads, but the truth is out — #Pottermore sorting is 100% Random…! There are many ways to prove this
1. How are there almost equal amounts of people in each Hogwarts house?
2. Why was everyone so suprised when they found out their house? I’m a Hufflepuff, and i LOVE it, but i know that that house wasn’t right for me. Since i was a little girl, I’d always been a Gryffindor at heart.
3. My friend and I got into #pottermore at the same time. We both put in the same answers for ALL of the questions, yet, she was a Slytherin.
Why? Because i believe that us #Potterheads shouldn’t be sorted online by an electronic sorting hat (I’m not trying to diss pottermore here…), but by the real one, himself. #Potterheads, you can be in whatever house you want — remember, the Sorting Hat takes your opinion into consideration.

However, once the shock wore down, I kind of like being in with the bad guys. It’s like being in a play – you get cast as the bad guy, but it doesn’t mean anything really. Just play your part and have fun! I’m sure the girl was lying… there are about 200 different questions that JK Rowling purportedly designed for the sorting event. I doubt those two girls in #3 got the same answers for all questions. I do believe there is an algorithm involved… and that is why all houses have close to the same number of people. At this point, it’s all about luck. But what the hey. If you are a true HP fan, you will love every house, and that includes the snakes! Got it? Alright.

Now what am I gonna do with this???

Some of you may have heard of Pottermore, the Pot-head fan community set up by JK Rowling herself. In fact, some of you may actually already be part of the fun! I was curious as to what it was, and being a fan myself, decided to try out for the 7 day window to be one of the first million fans to gain early access into pottermore.

For 7 days during the last week of July 2011, pottermore.com posted a question about the Harry Potter books – one trivia answerable by a numeral value… which should then be  multiplied by a certain number (for all 7 days, it was 7). The potterhead then puts this number on the end of a URL string supplied by the site to get into a “secret page” and a registration page.

S/he will be asked to select a username from 4 or 5 options, after which s/he is set up with this identity for her/his whole stay in Pottermore.S/he is sent a welcome email and a standby email to anticipate the welcome email to announce that site can now be accessed and tested.

I got in on Day 5.

I got my first welcome email a week later.

I got my accesspoint email on Sept 23.

The weekend after that (this weekend that just ended, to be precise), the site was terribly glitchy. Oh and I was sorted into Slytherin. Right.

More on pottermore later. For now, I need some ZZZzzzzs.

You guys remember this fictitious mean letter that circulated the internet for a bit? F-ing hilarious… My dad kept a copy printed on tissue paper and pasted it in one of his journal-sketchbooks, i kid you not! I uploaded a photo of that tissue on imageshack so now it’s gone.
